IDOT Listening Session on Lake County Transportation Needs

When: Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 4:00-5:00pm

Where: Waukegan City Council Chambers, 100 N. Martin Luther King Jr Ave., Waukegan, IL

What: The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is holding a listening session to gather Lake County residents’ thoughts and ideas on their transportation needs.  The Sierra Club urges you to come and let IDOT know what residents of Lake County want and how their tax dollars are spent.  It opposes the Illiana Expressway and extension of Rt. 53.  It urges IDOT to fix existing east/west roads, fix our aging rail infrastructure and invest in more public transportation, especially in our underserved urban areas.
